Explosion proof voltage regulator is essentially a special type of voltage regulator diode that utilizes the reverse breakdown characteristics of the diode to achieve voltage regulation function. Under normal circumstances, the voltage regulator is in a reverse cutoff state. When the reverse voltage reaches its regulated value, the regulator enters the reverse breakdown region. In this region, although the current passing through the regulator may vary greatly within a certain range, the voltage at both ends of the regulator remains basically unchanged, providing a stable voltage reference for the circuit.
